Essex Agricultural Society present "More than just a Race" by Jane Clarke
Jane has been Aintree Racecourse's Historian, Museum Curator and Tour Guide for the past 28 years and has attended every Grand National Meeting since 1973.  She will entrall us with the history, tradition and fairytales behind the Grand National.

Jane is an Essex 'girl' whose lifelong passion for sport saw her work for 33 years as a sports journalist including reporting on all the equestrian events at the 2012 London Olympics.  Her first love is horse racing, she has ridden in charity races and also works as a Raceday Steward at Newmarket and Chelmsford City Racecourses.
