Receptions & Dinners at Ingatestone Hall
Dinners and receptions are regularly held at Ingatestone Hall. Organisations that have held such an event recently include Essex County Council, Essex Community Foundation, Essex Community Trust and the Magistrates Association. Whether you are planning a private celebration for a wedding anniversary or birthday, an annual meeting or reunion for your club or association or a networking event for your business clients and colleagues, it provides a most attractive setting for the occasion.
It is our policy to provide you with just the right kind of space and setting to suit your individual requirements. In the same way, we have no exclusive contracts with suppliers of catering, entertainment etc. which leaves you free to use those that you prefer. Nevertheless, we are always happy to advise you about local suppliers whom we know to be reliable.

There are five principal rooms inside the house and four main areas in the gardens and grounds that are available for your use, either individually or in combination.

It is possible on these pages to give only a broad impression of the many ways in which the house and its grounds can be used; you are cordially invited to make an appointment for a free tour of the facilities on offer and a chance to soak up their special atmosphere. Because of the many different formulae and layouts that are available for you to choose, we do not publish a fixed scale of fees. For small gatherings, these can be as little as £70.00 per hour; some examples of popular formats are as follows (2010 prices - hire of premises only, excluding catering costs).
Option 1
Three hour reception for 75 guests in the Stone Hall and the Drawing Room.
Parking in the Meadow Car Park and access via the Main Drive.
£530 plus VAT
Option 2
Three hour open-air reception for 40 guests in the Herb Garden.
Parking in the North Wing Car Park and access via the North Wing Garden.
£120 plus VAT
Option 3
Reception in the Stone Hall for 60 guests followed by a buffet in the Summer Parlour, totalling four hours.
Parking in the Meadow Car Park and access via the Main Drive.
£710 plus VAT
Option 4
Three hour Garden Party for 200 guests in the Main Garden with provision for a 40 ft x 40 ft marquee.
Parking in the Meadow Car Park and access via the Main Drive and through the house.
£410 plus VAT
(excluding cost of the marquee itself. A fully fitted marquee of this size will cost approximately £1375 to hire.)
