Visiting Ingatestone Hall

Enjoy an afternoon at Ingatestone Hall. Tour the eight principal rooms containing paintings, furniture and memorabilia accumulated over the centuries and wander in the ten acres of gardens.

The house and grounds are open from noon to 5 p.m. (last entry 4 p.m.) on Wednesday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday afternoons from Easter until the end of September. EXCEPT Wednesdays in June

Ingatestone Hall is also open to casual visitors at several other times throughout the year. Please see our Events at Ingatestone Hall List for more details.

When numbers permit, visits to the house are by means of conducted tours. On busier days visitors are invited to explore the house independently. During the course of the season there are a number of special events (both within and outside normal opening hours).Please note that the character of some of these events has a radical effect on the experience offered to the visitor.
